Hiltec delivers ultra-modern production line to Versowood, Finland
1.5 years ago, the journey began to develop one of the world's most advanced production lines for cable drums for Versowood, Finland. Versowood is Finland's largest private producer of sawn timber and refined wood products. They are also a family-owned company that places great care on the needs of forest owners and customers.
- The production line is the most modern of its kind in the world when it comes to the manufacturing of cable drums, says Juhani Ala-Salmi, Director of wood packaging operations at Versowood.
An excellent collaboration
– We believe the collaboration with Hiltec has worked excellently, and the entire project has progressed smoothly. They have been very innovative in the design of the production line, says Janne Hannola, Production Director at Versowood.
Henrik Granquist works as a project manager at Hiltec and joined the project 18 months ago when the design work began.
– My role has been to coordinate everything related to assembly and the booking of resources, from electricians to mechanics, since we needed increased capacity for a project of this size. This is the largest facility for the production of cable drums that we have ever built. The collaboration with Versowood has really gone smoothly, and we have received quick responses with high relevance to the work. We are proud to be able to deliver this type of high-quality product, says Henrik.
